Frequently Asked Questions

1 Getting Started
What is Luminary Lane?
Luminary Lane is an agentic AI marketing platform featuring Lane, a Chief Marketing AI-Agent. Lane helps teams find, test, and scale the marketing mix that creates traction; today, she works with startups and SMEs in founder-led engagements with human control.
How do you understand our brand?
During personal onboarding, point us to the material that matters: your website, brand documents, useful ChatGPT conversations, and any sources covering your positioning, audience, messages, evidence, significant dates, competitors, visual references, and practical guardrails. You do not need to have everything ready. We use what you share to build a brand foundation, fill the missing pieces as proposed assumptions, and bring those items back to you for confirmation before they guide the channel and workflow choices worth testing.
Do I need technical skills to work with Lane?
No. The Lane web platform gives your team a full operating surface, while Slack, Teams, and WhatsApp are also available for collaboration. We lead the setup; your role is to share context, review evidence, and make the focus decisions that need your judgment.
2 Engagement & Workflows
What work can Lane support?
Lane coordinates specialized marketing work around the traction question at hand: research, messaging, content, outreach, publishing, distribution, measurement, and iteration within the workflows agreed for your engagement.
Does Lane replace marketers or agencies?
No. Marketing is a collection of deep crafts, and the best marketers go deep in specific channels. Lane makes evidence cheaper and faster to gather: she maps the possibilities, rules out weak bets early, and gives the right specialist clear focus to do their best work.
Can agencies and channel specialists use Lane?
Yes. Agencies, freelancers, and channel specialists can use Lane as an operating system across their client work. They bring the craft; Lane helps configure workflows, gather evidence, and focus that expertise on the work most likely to earn traction.
Which channels do you support?
We map the channels most relevant to your audience and goals rather than promising every social network. During discovery and setup, we confirm the channels and workflows that are available for your engagement.
Will content be published automatically?
No. Publishing is not assumed or automatic. We agree on the appropriate review and approval path for the workflows in scope before anything is put into motion.
Do we pay for drafts we reject?
Routine research, drafts, revisions, and learning draw from an agreed monthly working budget whether you keep a draft or not. We do not bill draft-by-draft, and Lane does not create billable work outside the agreed plan or budget. Higher-cost generation, sending, publishing, and media spend follow the approval path you set.
How do we decide what to do next?
We use bounded experiments with clear hypotheses and review points. We examine the available evidence together, then make an explicit decision about what to continue, adjust, stop, or focus on next.
3 Pricing, Budgets & Enquiries
How does pricing work?
Lane starts at $500 per month for the platform, with Guided, Partner, and Scale tiers for teams that need more operating support. Your fixed tier covers Lane and personal onboarding; AI generation, media, email, data, and other third-party spend are separate, visible budgets that stay within agreed caps.
What does the fixed Lane tier cover?
Every tier includes personal onboarding, the Lane platform, a brand foundation, traction goal, and approval guardrails. The level of human operating support then changes by tier—from customer-led operation to a named Lane operating partner or a custom enterprise model.
What counts as variable spend?
Variable budgets can include AI text, image, and video generation; advertising and media spend; email delivery; data providers; and connected third-party tools. We make these costs visible in advance and use them only within the caps and approval paths you set.
Do I need to book a call to get started?
No. Send a pricing, workflow, partnership, or traction question through the enquiry form and we will reply by email. A call is available later if talking it through would be more useful.
How do I get started?
Choose the tier that feels closest to your needs and ask a question through the enquiry form. Together, we will scope the setup, workflows, variable budgets, and approval guardrails.
4 Security & Privacy
Is my brand data secure?
Security is a priority. We use enterprise-grade encryption for data transmission and storage, protect your brand assets and content, and do not sell your data. We share only the data necessary with service providers and connected integrations to operate the agreed services. We are working toward SOC 2 readiness for customers who require formal security assurance; Luminary Lane is not yet SOC 2 attested.
Who owns the content created for us?
You retain ownership of your brand inputs and the client-specific final content created for your use. Luminary Lane retains ownership of the platform, software, models, and underlying infrastructure.
Will AI learn from our content?
By default, Luminary Lane may use brand inputs, interactions, and generated work to improve our service and AI capabilities. That does not change your ownership of client-specific content. If you need a no-training restriction or specific limits on how your data is used, tell us before onboarding; we can agree those requirements in writing for qualifying engagements.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request complete data deletion by contacting us. We will remove your data within 30 days as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
